Controlling the failure behavior of FRP-reinforced concrete elements

Abstract Concrete indeterminate flexural members represented by continuous beams reinforced with both fiber-reinforced polymers and steel bars in a way that allows for moment redistribution at failure are analyzed. The efficiency of introducing the critical sections where plastic hinges likely to form is evaluated terms reliability. Monte Carlo simulation concept comparative reliability employed. Ultimately, effect different design parameters on strength reduction factor evaluated.
